Lavish and striking is this very Victorian opal ring. Set in 14k yellow gold, it dates from the lat e 1800s. Set in in the center is an impressive oval shaped unique opal. Underneath the rich red color the fiery sparks emerge. The opal measures approx. 20mm x 14mm. The weighty gold mounting is magnificent with all the work, including the magnificent dragon laden sides. There is 1.00 ct of old mine and rose cut diamonds strewn about the mounting for the perfect amount of dazzle. Impressive, imposing and spectacular. The ring measures 1 1/2" x 3/4" across the top. It weighs 19.14 grams. It will fit a size 7 finger.
